2 red onions, finely chopped into moons
3 minced garlic cloves
splash of soy sauce
250g gram flour
1 vegan stock cube crumbled
handful of frozen peas
2tsp mixed herbs
1tsp chipotle paste [optional]
1 - 2 tsp smoked paprika
oil for frying - I use rapeseed
Cook potatoes until tender.
Meanwhile - fry onions, until caramelised - tip into a bowl then add
garlic; soy sauce; crumbled stock cube, peas, herbs & paprika
[also chipotle paste if you are using]
Combine, then roughly chop the potatoes and add to the onion mixture.
Bind with lemon juice until you get a consistency that is firm and
ready for frying. If too sloppy add more gram flour.
Divide into small balls, fry in oil 5 mins each side
Eat while hot - be warned these are bloody moreish!
