ABOUT
I am the blog editor for Bolton Psychology. Go to BoltonPsych Blog to take a look. Anyone interested in psychology might find it useful. I also run Bolton Psychology's social media. Check us out on Twitter @BoltonPsych
I have a long career that spans more than two decades in HE psychology teaching. I am also an active researcher and a victimology specialist in topics such as victim blame, trauma and post traumatic growth among others. Please see the publications tab for more details.
I am currently a Reader in Criminological and Forensic Psychology at the University of Bolton in Greater Manchester, UK. Please see the CV tab for more information.
I am a Chartered Psychologist, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I was a founding editor of the Journal of Aggression, Conflict and Peace Research, I am currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Sexual Aggression and a regular reviewer of various other journals.
Although work takes up a lot of my time, I have various hobbies and things I am interested in beyond psychology. I am a football fan, and support my local team, the Magpies (Chorley FC). I share my home with four dogs and two cats (yes, my home is very busy). I am a vegan and there is plenty of information on veganism here via Michelle's Vegan Blog. If you have a vegan product, resource or service you would like me to promote FREE, or you are a writer, see my blog post for details.
